EPIVAC® Training Program Poster: 10 Years of Strengthening Immunization Program Performance in Francophone sub-Saharan Africa

Technical documents
Publication date:

EPIVAC started with a simple question: how could AMP contribute to improve the immunization program performance in francophone African GAVI eligible countries? Knowing that • districts are the lowest administrative level for the implementation of the expanded program on immunization (EPI) program; • the district medical officer is a qualified MD, but lacks experience and education in the fields of management (e.g. managing human resources, managing cold chain operations and managing health services) as well as in the field of field based epidemiology (e.g. surveillance, outbreak response, data quality, data analysis); EPIVAC’s objective are therefore to focus on capacity building in technical and managerial skills of the district based MD’s in order to improve their professional practices.
